To all my friends out in fellow blogger land- I have not been coming around as much as it reminds me that I am dreadfully lacking in posts these days. Now and then I read all kinds of inspiring things, today's post is an update on the 4 kidlets at this end. We passed many significant dates this fall. Three kids have birthdays, (happy), we travelled for thanksgiving (fun), and we marked one year since the passing of Grandpa Knight (sad). One daughter is getting measured for braces (apprehensive) and one boy joined the track team (finally!!!) Scott and I went to Montreal on our 20th anniversary. One of you blogger friends said this: I just realized that Almi has been home with me longer than she lived in orphanages
Yes indeed, we feel like a family forever, by now. Our older kids have been here for 9 years and hardly remember life without us. (It takes effort to help them remember)and our 7 yr old has been here for 3 1/2 yrs, that makes everyone officially more time together than apart. Even me, having met the love of my life at age 19, now celebrating 20 yrs married!!
TOP PHOTO: what is this latest craze called silly bands? I would not know of these things except that the creator of silly bands was in Pennsylvania as we were passing thru. Now we have a collectors' item plus an autograph to boot. I hope SOMEONE is impressed...
Here is a darling 7 yr old boy, pointing out menu choices in possibly our favorite place in north america: Little Ethiopia. It is said there are nearly half a million ETH residents. wow.
and now finally, that wonderful day when everyone heads "back to school..." this young man starting gr 8 and playing hockey for the first time.
