Remembering life

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart." This quote from Steve Jobs who died today age 56. A sad day for sure.
This photo taken by my darling daughter, maybe by the ocean? Reminds me of that dear soul, soaring free. Why is this so gripping, so touching? I had never really heard of this person and will not miss him. I have barely even heard of his list of accomplishments, I am afraid of Mac computers. He must have been such an incredible geek, to have invented all those things as a young man, such a workaholic. Yet, it is stressed that he was a family man. A father of four! Wow that hits me right in the heart. Besides that, it is the tenuous nature of life that is the real tear jerker here. Somebody famous has died, yes, but more importantly to me there are friends and family suffering privately. They likely do not want their photo plastered on CNN or even their name mentioned on my blog. So I will mention them in my prayers, and wish for the answers to problems that are tearing people apart. Life is fragile, that is all I can say. Unless of course I was more eloquent like other awesome bloggers- Sharla, Ruth, Lucy...perhaps I will sneak over and see that they have to say, today.
